You can find all the information about sizes in our “size chart” under every product listed on our website. We recommend: If you are between two shoe sizes, please take the larger size. If you have a clear size like 39. Take a 39 :)

For us, it is clear that nobody should suffer for our shoes. And certainly not animals. That's why at RICE, we only use vegan materials. All our shoes are PETA-Approved Vegan. We use a variety of recycled, upcycled, and bio-based materials. We use mainly waste from European food industry such as corn leather, rice husks and potato waste. We only use certified organic cotton and recycled Bio TPU. You can find the exact ingredients under each product.

By using waste from the food industry, we recycle valuable materials and give them a new life. We guarantee that all our materials are 100% sourced from Europe.

Corn leather is an environmentally friendly material made from corn waste, especially corn leaves and stalks, which are normally discarded after harvest.

Corn leather not only contributes to waste reduction, but also requires less water for its production compared to leather production. The production of corn leather generally creates a smaller carbon footprint and fewer greenhouse gas emissions than the production of conventional leather. In addition, it is biodegradable and breathable, providing comfort and flexibility. Corn leather is odorless, versatile in color and texture, and very allergy friendly.

To further strengthen the local value chain, the rice waste for our RICE sneaker sole comes from a paella rice farm just 40 km away. The production of soles from rice husks is an innovative approach to the production of environmentally friendly and sustainable shoe components. The main advantage of producing soles from rice husks is that a waste product is sensibly reused instead of being disposed of. This helps reduce environmental impact and promotes a more sustainable production method in the footwear industry.

All our materials come from northern Italy, Spain and Portugal. Our Shoes are designed and developed in Germany. The Production of our shoes is done in Elche, Spain and Porto, Portugal, both are family-owned factories.

We carefully select our suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that our products are made under fair conditions. Particularly important to us is our sole supplier in Spain, which provides safe workplaces with fair pay for women who have experienced domestic violence.

Through regular visits to our partners, we ensure that our values are respected.

Most importantly; the shoe is not suitable for the washing machine. However, you can take excellent care of your RICE shoe with gentle methods.

To clean the sole of the shoe, never use a solvent-based preparation as it is made of rubber. You can use any product suitable for a rubber shoe sole.

Here are three household tips:

• Alcohol-free baby wipes
• a 50/50 water-alcohol mixture on a cotton cloth
• Kitchen degreaser

You can clean the upper leather in the same way, dirt can be wiped off very easily.

After completing your order you will receive an order confirmation. Once your product is on its way, you will receive a shipping confirmation including your tracking number. In the DHL parcel announcement, you can track your package in real-time. We, along with our fulfillment service provider Locema GmbH, ensure that your sneakers arrive safely and promptly.

Once your payment is confirmed, we will process your order on weekdays within 24 hours. Standard deliveries with DHL usually take:

• Germany and Austria: 2-4 working days
• Within Europe: 2-8 working days
• International and outside the EU: 6-12 working days

We ship our packages worldwide from our logistics center in Schwerin, Germany. Returns are sent back to the same address in Germany.

We ship worldwide. If you can't find your country in the list during checkout simply contact us at support@thericesociety.com, and we will assist you.

Once you enter your complete address during checkout your shipping costs will be automatically calculated. If you have any questions about this feel free to contact us at support@thericesociety.com.

1. If you want to exchange a product for a different model, color, or size please reach out to support@thericesociety.com. We will cover the shipping costs for the new shoe. Any price differences in the purchase will be adjusted or refunded accordingly.
2. If you have received a wrong or damaged product, please contact our customer service at support@thericesociety.com. We will take care of getting your desired product to you as fast as possible.
3. If you want to return a received product contact our customer service at support@thericesociety.com. We will refund you the full purchase price, including the shipping costs for the initial delivery. As a small label, we unfortunately can’t cover the return costs. Therefore, these costs must be covered by you. Thank you for your understanding.

The refund will be processed within 14 days after receiving the returned goods and will be issued through the same payment method used in the order.

If you want to return the unworn product you can do so within 14 days after receiving your order.

You can reach our customer service on weekdays (9:00-18:00) via email at support@thericesociety.com. We will do our best to respond within 72 hours.

Our orders get processed very quickly. Therefore, the time window that you can use to cancel your order is very short. If you wish to do that please let us know within the first three hours after placing the order, we try to stop the process. Without warranty. Please write an email to support@thericesociety.com
